Keynote Speaker: Amanda Seales
Schwab Auditorium, January 19, 2018

Designer: Addie Ruston, Senior -Graphic Design

When you think of Martin Luther King Jr’s dream, your mind may wonder back into the 1930’s when MLK and his dream were truly making positive strides for equality in future years to come. Flash forward to today’s society: the dream has deteriorated, the stride has moved backward instead of forward. In recent events and what my poster represents, we have ripped away what Martin Luther King Jr’s March on Washington stood for and deconstructed it into violence, hatred, and acts of cruelty, pushing us years backwards in the fight for equality that exists today. ~ Addie Ruston
